Sheila Kelly Welch
Sheila Kelly Welch has written and/or illustrated fourteen books for children of all ages. Her short stories appear in many children’s magazines. One of these, published in Cricket, won the International Reading Association’s Short Story Award. Her first novel, Don’t Call Me Marda, was a finalist for the Benjamin Franklin Award. Her two most popular books are Little Prince Know-It- All and A Horse for All Seasons. Her novel The Shadowed Unicorn was likened to Bridge to Terabithia in a Booklist review.
